Spirituality and Counselling
My Hindu Inspired Spiritual Path
My spirituality is in origin Hindu, counselling values are substantially guided by the Bhagavad–Gita. I am British and a Westerner rather than Hindu or Indian culturally, but my Guru, my primary spiritual inspiration, is Indian, Paramahansa Yogananda, and my spiritual life centres on yogi meditation and God's love. The spiritual, counselling and my inner being are one whole. I love my peaceful self.
I attend Harrow, Mill Hill and Wembley Sai centres in Middlesex and north-west London. I have a fondness for Buddhism too and frequently attend Buddhist meditation at Heruka Centre (in Golders Green, London NW11, ten mins from Colindale). I experience most of the how–to–live teachings of Buddha to be similar to the Hindu counselling peace of mind, unselfishness, and non-violence.
Person-Centred / Hindu Counselling Values
Person-Centred counselling shares Hindu counselling values found in the Bhagavad–Gita: values such as compassion, love, empathy, non–judgmental acceptance of people, and inner peace.
In myself I value loyalty, trustworthiness, reliability, peace, my word. I appreciate the oneness of us all and the unlimited potential of each one of us.
As a professional, I am a member of BACP and am therefore bound by the BACP code of ethics.
Colindale Counselling
For clients who wish to explore their spiritual development, my Colindale Counselling will be Person–Centred non–directive spiritual counselling, a way for you to discover what is spiritually growthful and appropriate for you now.
For those who don't, it won't. Most counselling clients do not bring spiritual concerns.
If you wish to learn to meditate, I can introduce you to simple, effective and beneficial meditations I have learned from Hindu, counselling and Buddhist sources.
My Colindale counselling is fully harmonious with all positive spirituality. For me personally, the Gita and Yogananda are my spiritual guides, and my values are the values expressed in Bhagavad–Gita commentaries by Hindu counselling and spiritual masters Yogananda, Sathya Sai Baba and Prabhupada. But I love spiritual growth and appreciate all spiritual paths that lead towards enlightenment / Self–Realization, including eclectic paths that are, like the Buddhist, Christian, Islamic and Hindu counselling wisdom, love, and inner peace.
